Bob is the Founding and Senior Pastor of Calvary Fellowship: a church with campuses in Miami Lakes and Miramar Florida. Prior to planting Calvary Fellowship, Bob served as an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, one of the 10 largest churches in the U.S. His primary role was as dean of Calvary Chapel Bible College, where he trained future Pastors, ministry leaders, and church planters. Bob is also the author of Elements: Starting a Revolution in your World, Watermark: An Explanation of Baptism and Zero to Sixty: 60 Principles and Practices for Leading a Growing Church. Prior to entering Pastoral ministry, Bob played guitar for Christian Hardcore band Strongarm; a band that has been called one of the best Christian Metal bands of all time. Most importantly, Bob considers his greatest achievement as being married to his “just out of high school” sweetheart, Carey, for the last 13years. Together, they have a beautiful daughter, Mia Grace and a son, Alexander.

Prior to serving at CF Mark owned and operated a successful advertising company. He was also the lead singer of a popular indie Christian band for six years with whom he recorded 3 albums and played with some of the top Christian bands in the nation. In 2002 Mark took a leap of faith and walked away from his business and band to follow God’s plan for his life. According to him this was one of the hardest things he’s ever done; however, he’s never been happier. Mark is married to his beautiful high school sweetheart Leilani and is the proud father of two awesome little boys: Kaleb and Joshua.

John is the Executive Pastor at Calvary Fellowship. He moved from Boston to Florida in 1996 to work as a volunteer for a non-for profit organization dedicated to providing a home for teen runaways. At the conclusion of his commitment, he decided to stay in South Florida to attend Calvary Chapel Bible College and pursue ministry. There he met Pastor Bob, and in 2000 was asked to assist in planting the church in Miami Lakes. He went from volunteer to staff member to pastor. As John likes to say, “Bob just couldn’t get rid of me.” He has been blessed in many ways through CF, where he met his beautiful wife Carolina. He enjoys spending his days with Carolina and their two dogs, Max, Emy, and cat, Nemo.

Abraham is the Church Administrator at Calvary Fellowship. Prior to joining CF he worked for 17 years at a Fortune 500 company in progressive leadership roles where he had the opportunity to travel internationally on projects to countries like The Netherlands, China, Ireland, Costa Rica and Mexico. This company gave him the opportunity to meet Joanna, his wife. They’ve built a life here in South Florida and now have been married for 12 years. God gave them a beautiful 3-year old daughter named Kailey Savina. For 8 years, Abraham and his family have attended and served at CF. Being part of the staff allows him to connect people to God’s truth about managing money. He enjoys working with people, and families, providing financial counseling, developing a vision for growth, and strategic planning. Abraham has a Bachelor’s in Business and a Masters in Science in Leadership, from Barry University’s School of Education. He says that what he is most proud of is of his wife and daughter. Among Abraham’s hobbies he enjoys beating his nephews at basketball, jogging, and staying active in South Florida.

Lily is the Director of the Children’s Ministry at Calvary Fellowship. In March 2009 she joined the CF staff after six years of teaching in the Miami Dade Public School system. She feels her mission is to teach others and finds great joy in passing on her knowledge. Among Lily’s achievements is the founding of an afterschool Learning Program dedicated to helping students reach their full academic potential. For the last four years, she has been serving with her husband, David, in the CF Worship Band as the keyboardist. Lily has a Master Degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida International University. She says one of her greatest pleasures is watching movies at home with David, spending time with her nephews Kaleb and Joshua, and hanging out with family and close friends.

Maria is the Director of Human Resources at Calvary Fellowship. In 2003, she moved from her native Puerto Rico after accepting an offer to work for a Fortune 500 company in Miami Lakes. There, she held various positions in Human Resources and Marketing and was chosen to attend the Harvard Business School’s Executive Leadership Program. At the same time, Maria served as a leader in our Youth Ministry, taught Growth Groups, and became part of our Hosting team. After five years of serving as a volunteer, in 2009 her love for God and people led her to join the CF staff where she is responsible for the oversight and development of our volunteers and members. Maria has a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Puerto Rico and an MBA from the University of Miami. She is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Joan Carlos, and they have two dogs, Pele and Serena.

Prior to coming to Calvary Fellowship, Cookie was a public school teacher for 14 years as well as an educational consultant for the Core Knowledge Foundation. Cookie served as the Children’s Ministry director at Calvary Fellowship in Miami Lakes from 2005-2008. In 2008, she returned to the Dade County Public School System where she works as a Reading Coach in a local elementary school. She continues at Calvary Fellowship, where she pursues her passion-writing lessons that teach kids about God and draws them closer to Him. Her proudest accomplishment in life is raising her two sons, Tony and Emmanuel, as men who love the Lord.

Omar has been in the mass media industry since the age of 16. His initial start was as Promotional Producer for a sport television network in Chicago where he became Lead Editor, Animator and Producer highlighting the networks programming. Omar’s passion grew as he went to Columbia College in Chicago where he graduated in Mass Media with a concentration in Media Management. After graduating, he was hired as an Executive Promotional Producer for a Spanish Leading Television Network, that a few years ago relocated him to Miami. While settling down in South Florida, Omar started attending Calvary where he met his beautiful wife Leyvis. “GOD has completely blessed me with this gift, he has given me everything I’ve always wanted in life. I am greatly devoted in applying my gifts for his work.” Among Omar’s accolades is to have won four Emmys as well as other prestigious awards. Aside from video, Omar has grown to love soccer, mountain biking, jogging with his wife and photography. He also enjoys watching TV and going to the movies. He says he goes to the movies because he loves to work. “I’m researching, that’s why I watch a lot of movies. I promise”, says Omar.
